Luminis Health Becomes Official Health Partner for the new Annapolis Soccer Team

The Annapolis Blues has announced that Luminis Health is the official health partner for the new Annapolis soccer team.  Annapolis Blues is the first minor league soccer team in the Annapolis region and begins their first season this May.

Luminis Health is a non-profit regional health system headquartered in Annapolis, Maryland, and was formed when Doctors Community Medical Center joined Anne Arundel Medical Center, each with rich histories of serving their communities.

As part of the partnership, Luminis Health will be the exclusive health provider for the Annapolis Blues and its players. Luminis Health will provide care for the Annapolis Blues’ players.  During the season, players will visit the hospitals in Annapolis and Lanham to pass out jerseys, sign autographs and pose for pictures. The Luminis Health logo will also be prominently displayed on the front of the Blues’ practice jerseys.

“Since Luminis Health is a locally formed health system, working together with the area’s new soccer team is a great way to be a part of the communities we serve,” said Steve Campbell, Luminis Health’s Vice President of Marketing and Communications.

The Annapolis Blues FC will host its first home game at the Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium Saturday, June 3. The Blues plan to host “Hug a Healthcare Worker Night” during the season to thank healthcare workers for their hard-work and dedication during the last three years of the pandemic.

"As the Annapolis Blues play their inaugural season it is very important to the club to find strategic community partnerships that align with the families we want to reach and the highest-level of care for our athletes in Annapolis,” said Dustin McCorkle, chief marketing officer of the Annapolis Blues. “Luminis Health is the perfect healthcare partner to provide the care for our players and our community and we can't wait to showcase our partnership with Luminis Health! Our partnership will be focused on athletes of all levels, community activations, injury prevention and premium care. We are very excited to work alongside Luminis Health and support the families of Annapolis."
